Concept Statement
The Greenleif’s residence has been constructed and meets all of their requirements and needs
as well as being up to code and a barrier-free design. The
first floor meets commercial requirements in the Mr. Greenleifs orthodontic office.
The following rooms were designed to meet special requirements and adjacencies: a private exercise room, a reception
area, a retail area, a public restroom, two exam rooms, a doctor’s office, a kitchenette, a storage area, and a copier
area. A custom retail desk was also designed to meet surface and handicap requirements. The flooring in the office area on the first floor is finished throughout with a grey
toned commercial grade carpet with an exception to the kitchenette and public restroom which is VCT. The walls are finished with commercial grade wall covering throughout.
The walls are acoustically sound for the private exercise area. The ceiling is 10’ AFF and is a grid with tiles with an exception to the retail
area which is gypsum board and is inset to 11’6” AFF.
On the second floor is the living area for the Greenlief residence.
The following rooms have been designed and meet all special requirements and design needs: an entry area, a kitchen area, a living area, a dining area, a guest bedroom/studio area, a guest bathroom,
a master suit with bathroom, and a storage area. The flooring throughout the
home is hardwood flooring with an exception to the entry, kitchen and bath areas with is marble tile. The walls throughout the home have been painted with earth toned eggshell paint with an exception to tiling
in the kitchen and bath areas. The ceiling throughout the home is gypsum board
and is inset from 10’ AFF to 11’6” AFF in the kitchen and living area.
Both levels of the home meeting barrier- free design requirements and meet all of the requirements and needs for the
Greenleif family.
